Half of this was cut away.</p><p>The flower was coloured with water colour pencils and Distress inks.</p><p>The background uses an embossing folder covered with VersaMark and then put through the embossing machine .Then pearlescent powders were brushed over to reveal the design. This is a lovely method which I haven't used for ages.</p><p>This was then sprayed with cheap hairspray to seal it.</p><p>The message is from the Folk Art Garden set.</p><p>Hope you have enjoyed the samples I have shown you.</p><p>Please visit my Pinterest board to see other Chocolate Baroque samples that I have made.</p><p><a href="https://www.pinterest.co.uk/carolecann/_saved/">https://www.pinterest.co.uk/carolecann/_saved/</a></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFDuWfQGBU-X-CJxOcJNv1pkOQEeMpzEBvOH26ZIj_NdGtClLVv_Hgv9SSp9jMGKbthGQZo8xbau46oInw6EUenaKIZElr5sZkcE-Loe_zWpSdwrKSoyHnQ6myZQ8XzQneEyNHjoii6XT6u7KDpYNn-ppjFrvn_xURPxxIwBWfb_ZITD63I9HZUCnSgQ/s640/P1150503.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="640" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFDuWfQGBU-X-CJxOcJNv1pkOQEeMpzEBvOH26ZIj_NdGtClLVv_Hgv9SSp9jMGKbthGQZo8xbau46oInw6EUenaKIZElr5sZkcE-Loe_zWpSdwrKSoyHnQ6myZQ8XzQneEyNHjoii6XT6u7KDpYNn-ppjFrvn_xURPxxIwBWfb_ZITD63I9HZUCnSgQ/w640-h480/P1150503.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Many thanks for visiting.</div><p></p><p style="text-align: center;">Happy crafting until next time.</p><p></p><div style="text-align: center;">Caroleπ</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"> </div><div style="text-align: center;"> </div><p></p>Carole C.http://www.blogger.com/profile/09891423782526371622noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8058302731928123134.post-79673750789575558472022-06-15T07:00:00.001+01:002022-06-15T07:00:00.185+01:00A selection of stamps<p><br /></p><p>Hello again.</p><p>This is my second contribution for this month for the Chocolate Baroque GDT slot. It has a bit of a retro feel to it. I have used 'worker stamps' from a variety of stamp sets to do a grid pattern. This involved a lot of masking as I decided where the stamps were going. It is stamped with sepia Versafine. The grid evolved as I went along and each section was lightly drawn around as I went. The grid could be drawn out first and the stamped areas masked and stamped. This would probably be easier to build up.</p><p>I decided to add a touch of colour with the butterflies and mounted it onto the dark blue, as I like blue and brown together.<br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8Ev8vHf7L2OX4tJqb3_yGmsZkFNoKKgl80osKGoVYFvhvppodkrNVA_chLMqct77G5BT85mG16fQqwai6HB5jfRw2jI-atgwwXBh-VgA2i7LAfidPmNzAuarsdMrWP078IQVpSsptlc4dqG9p_3-XWRYKIuQDSzvVZQx8BfCjL2SYzDWirJp7-5wS0w/s640/P1150512.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="640" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8Ev8vHf7L2OX4tJqb3_yGmsZkFNoKKgl80osKGoVYFvhvppodkrNVA_chLMqct77G5BT85mG16fQqwai6HB5jfRw2jI-atgwwXBh-VgA2i7LAfidPmNzAuarsdMrWP078IQVpSsptlc4dqG9p_3-XWRYKIuQDSzvVZQx8BfCjL2SYzDWirJp7-5wS0w/w640-h480/P1150512.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><p style="text-align: center;">Very different looking cards emerge if you alter the grid pattern and change the colours. I have enjoyed using this technique and it is a good way to use some of the smaller stamps which are very pretty and often only used for backgrounds.</p><p><br /></p><div style="text-align: center;">Hope you have enjoyed my card and I will be back again ,next week with my final sample for this session.</div><p></p><p style="text-align: center;">Many thanks for looking. </p><p style="text-align: center;">Happy crafting</p><p></p><div style="text-align: center;">Carole π</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><p></p><p style="text-align: center;"><br /></p>Carole C.http://www.blogger.com/profile/09891423782526371622noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8058302731928123134.post-71023799537918128012022-06-08T07:00:00.001+01:002022-06-08T07:00:00.169+01:00Bird Cage Collage<p> </p><p>Hello everyone.</p><p> I am pleased to be doing another GDT slot for Chocolate Baroque and will have three projects for you over the next three weeks, using some of the older stamps. Hope you enjoy looking at them.</p><p>My first sample uses Bird Cage Collage , a lovely stamp which is very versatile and much used.</p><p>You will find some other samples below.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZ9_vq88TRrOYabpNb93bFTWLWtLbjbm2dCSrmZmcHoEp0f48QeuEbYIoAM67QKiJkcEcE4CnrxqQrYQAOQ6J6MnGTTAyGj7v-FZ_-kM7vprpir0jAmlk0T3Yqw9kuAARFxaqK_1xM40zz-SqxsF3Dz1geY2Bit4IxcyT9oXNNwvfNxVJ6ow5GHobVfw/s640/P1150514.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="640" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZ9_vq88TRrOYabpNb93bFTWLWtLbjbm2dCSrmZmcHoEp0f48QeuEbYIoAM67QKiJkcEcE4CnrxqQrYQAOQ6J6MnGTTAyGj7v-FZ_-kM7vprpir0jAmlk0T3Yqw9kuAARFxaqK_1xM40zz-SqxsF3Dz1geY2Bit4IxcyT9oXNNwvfNxVJ6ow5GHobVfw/w640-h480/P1150514.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br /><p></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p>I have stamped onto black card with VersaMark ink and embossed with silver powder, then coloured the image with pearlescent paints. The left hand edge has been cut away around the cages.</p><p>The edging uses one of the Floral Edges stamps and again is stamped with VersaMark and silver pearlescent powder brushed over. I sealed this with a quick spritz of cheap hair spray.</p><p>The words are from the Loving Sentiments set.</p><p><br /></p><p>The samples following are a variation, using the same Bird Cage stamp.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; I have used the other three quite a lot as they are very pretty images, but Winter Dawn has been neglected for some reason.π</p><p><br /></p><p>So here she is.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQYRS9l5k8eQN5mFkYkTEC2xvZzCz4njlo3e6BkYWu3JqjdtMoH0nvFNeDfBsvMv5QV-k7t-zewyXFdlIKl2C9Rb8AXvklX-M5lEnZttfSKPy1FAEqJ23SagLv0j4CNj_mnitg8qeO5UoG/s640/P1150465.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="640" height="408" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQYRS9l5k8eQN5mFkYkTEC2xvZzCz4njlo3e6BkYWu3JqjdtMoH0nvFNeDfBsvMv5QV-k7t-zewyXFdlIKl2C9Rb8AXvklX-M5lEnZttfSKPy1FAEqJ23SagLv0j4CNj_mnitg8qeO5UoG/w544-h408/P1150465.JPG" width="544" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The frame is 25cm. one I had in my stash. Just right for the 15cm. heart to fit in the centre.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The heart is a good quality birch wood which has been sanded to a lovely smooth finish. This is suitable for stamping directly onto the wood without prepping it first, using a suitable inkpad.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Some inkpads will bleed, which you don't want. I have used VersaFine Blue on mine and it is useful to use a drier pad rather than a new squidgy oneπ. StazOn works well too.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The image has been coloured with water colour pencils and white gel pen, for the flakes.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">It is edged with tiny beads to finish it.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The background sheet has the wax resist technique again , (see last weeks post) and then over stamped with snowflakes which have been white embossed.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The edging is finished with little pearls. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I hope you have enjoyed this project and revisit this lovely series of stamps.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Happy crafting to you all and thankyou for visiting Chocolate Baroque's blog. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Caroleπ</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /> </div><br /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><p></p>Carole C.http://www.blogger.com/profile/09891423782526371622noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8058302731928123134.post-7582749445985599102021-10-20T07:00:00.001+01:002021-10-20T07:00:00.181+01:00Chocolate Baroque sample 2 - October 2021<p> </p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p>Hello again</p><p>My sample this time uses a pretty stamp from the Butterfly Poppy Collage set and an older technique which seems to have gone out of favour or forgotten! π</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLK64ZTR0plxB0hszv3_XKN-21yF92Vaw-ZshzHgntevIfq8EIKB1pr8RVgZ37G2oehY7hFYuAu1C3__fOC-FNX9tx77DxW-MeCmPITPpD33h4diA4yacV1pqiF5Gjm4GrcTNWq4wIbgjj/s640/P1150452.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="640" height="445" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLK64ZTR0plxB0hszv3_XKN-21yF92Vaw-ZshzHgntevIfq8EIKB1pr8RVgZ37G2oehY7hFYuAu1C3__fOC-FNX9tx77DxW-MeCmPITPpD33h4diA4yacV1pqiF5Gjm4GrcTNWq4wIbgjj/w593-h445/P1150452.JPG" width="593" /></a><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I stamped the butterfly panel from Butterfly Poppy collage and then stamped it again and embossed with clear embossing powder. This was torn and cut out to add a bit of depth. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The white panel behind was embossed with a diamond folder to mirror the stamp diamonds. Unfortunately this is not showing in the photo.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The background is done with the wax paper technique which is simple to do and can give interesting results.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">My card has the wax paper scrunched up, but you can put it through in an embossing folder to get different patterns.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I scrunched the wax paper , smoothed it out and ironed it onto my piece of card. Use a piece of copy paper on top to iron. Please don't use your main iron in case the wax seeps through the paper onto the iron!</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">The pattern from the wax will act as a resist so that when you ink over the pattern 'pops'.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I like this technique as it is quick and simple and the wax paper can be manipulated to get different patterns.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">I hope you have liked this .</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">See you next week</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Carole</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><br /> </div><br /></div><br /><p><br /></p>Carole C.http://www.blogger.com/profile/09891423782526371622noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8058302731928123134.post-29207512392216985252021-10-13T07:00:00.001+01:002021-10-13T07:08:14.588+01:00Chocolate Baroque GDT sample 1 - October 2021<p> Hello everyone.</p><p>I am pleased to be back for this GDT spot again for Chocolate Baroque, hope you like what I have to show you.</p><p>For my first project I decided to cover my sample book, something I have wanted to do for ages! I keep a visual record of the stamps I receive for Chocolate Baroque samples in an A4 book and then cross reference this to my storage boxes. it has been looking tatty for ages as it is well used. Most of the initial time was taken up deciding on a plan and colours and what stamps to use. Always a tough one. But got there eventually and tried to keep out of my comfort zone for colour.</p><p><br /></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj45JfqFNE-VyA2PlC_61nKkZlC0F51JxSdgt4p229d2375yguQ3uG6vw5qLKDmTQ1xXHcefM05vU22NodqghVZ0z-GCFrrlnEy1W2blLuoyVcya4RNTR42r_DSgVyHFmoy1b7VJBE4nJ9C/s640/P1150440.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="640" height="366" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj45JfqFNE-VyA2PlC_61nKkZlC0F51JxSdgt4p229d2375yguQ3uG6vw5qLKDmTQ1xXHcefM05vU22NodqghVZ0z-GCFrrlnEy1W2blLuoyVcya4RNTR42r_DSgVyHFmoy1b7VJBE4nJ9C/w488-h366/P1150440.JPG" width="488" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div> <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="text-align: left;">So here it is. Once I had cut the paper to size I clear embossed some leaves then coloured over them with Wild Honey Distress ink, to emphasise the embossed areas</span></div><p></p><p>This was over stamped with a selection of stamps from various sets. </p><p>The flowers were stamped with Versafine Sepia and cut out, as were some of the butterflies. These were coloured with Aged Mahogany Distress ink , Marigold and water colour pencils, then stuck down.</p><p><br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjM00xy6SILkMV0kjdIJnse1YazWDO5yXS57ebaExOLcp905KQpbZJtmzckUnf73iRrlaNj-ouRO5b4XrYY_PWQlGKECRNgig4ruJORT12G7d8jCnuO6T-HWyIRC6BtDUXoR7P7nTSbdhOT/s640/P1150447.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="640" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjM00xy6SILkMV0kjdIJnse1YazWDO5yXS57ebaExOLcp905KQpbZJtmzckUnf73iRrlaNj-ouRO5b4XrYY_PWQlGKECRNgig4ruJORT12G7d8jCnuO6T-HWyIRC6BtDUXoR7P7nTSbdhOT/s320/P1150447.JPG" width="320" /></a><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiaHrgLZ2BzaQefMkrRpcM4e_-S6LXYtcwanH8FB-gl_8_CDM7LbJdnPDWbFlFSdOws7p1MUGz83bpU7Lc73sBnKUyy6hlX16J1eExSrkLMMbSkBoeEHyleco4UmkIBF35WlCI7MH9-YMC0/s640/P1150443.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="640" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiaHrgLZ2BzaQefMkrRpcM4e_-S6LXYtcwanH8FB-gl_8_CDM7LbJdnPDWbFlFSdOws7p1MUGz83bpU7Lc73sBnKUyy6hlX16J1eExSrkLMMbSkBoeEHyleco4UmkIBF35WlCI7MH9-YMC0/s320/P1150443.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br /></div><br /><p><br /></p><p>Haven't decided on the back yet, but it will probably be a simpler design.</p><p>Once everything was stuck down securely I sprayed it with a matt sealant. This is important , I think, with the metallic embossing powders in particular.</div><div>Stamp the saying first with VersaMark and silver emboss.</div><div>so you can position it where you would like it on the heart. Position the flowers and heat emboss with the silver.</div><div><br /></div><div>The leaves were done differently , to give a softer look, although they could be silver embossed like the rest.</div><div>I stamped with the VersaMark and then used Pigment , silver powder, to brush lightly over.</div><div>The inkpad was wiped around the edge and embossed to finish it off.</div><div>The flowers were coloured with pearl paints.</div><div><br /></div><div>If I have used the pearl powder I would normally give it a light spray with a matt sealer as the powders will lift or smudge if touched.</div><div><br /></div><div>When making it into a coaster I would normally seal with a matt varnish.</div><div><br /></div><div>Well that's my contribution to the GDT slot for a while.</div><div>Hope you have enjoyed my projects and I look forward to seeing other lovely samples from the DT team.</div><div><br /></div><div> I have posted a few other hearts I have made. Some as coasters and others as gifts.</div><div>They become a bit of an obsession with me especially as there are some lovely , inspirational sayings in the Chocolate Baroque collection.π</div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmYBUGYnvrtjp3dRb7K4dVzQ9Kgg93vk9da1qAO2S3BCMWGNxv_pns6y50MzqzekyIRgmJIMD_DS-F8dtRzxrsXGrQyQ3QMAGzjb_LNI0B__SbwE8hKSEqsQBBAn3HPYTU2kCQO-ts-7cb/s640/P1140833.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjmYBUGYnvrtjp3dRb7K4dVzQ9Kgg93vk9da1qAO2S3BCMWGNxv_pns6y50MzqzekyIRgmJIMD_DS-F8dtRzxrsXGrQyQ3QMAGzjb_LNI0B__SbwE8hKSEqsQBBAn3HPYTU2kCQO-ts-7cb/s320/P1140833.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;">Hope you have a good day.</div><div style="text-align: center;">Happy crafting.</div><div style="text-align: center;">Carole</div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p></div>Carole C.http://www.blogger.com/profile/09891423782526371622noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8058302731928123134.post-88774773903759035822021-04-21T06:49:00.001+01:002021-04-21T07:02:38.932+01:00Chocolate Baroque GDT post 2 - 2021<p> </p><p>Gentle Butterflies</p><p><br /></p><p>Hello again.</p><p>For my second GDT post I have used The Floral clock stamp, with my favourite colours. Very difficult sometimes to get out of my comfort zone with colours, although it does happen occasionally.</p><p><br /></p><p></p><br /><p></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiB-cfLCsgIhU18eO4Rs2VN25tXF4u7npswIeaq56TZGJikq29Tb_pv982dt-KZaJgfkLTrL4cdKdLtu9z43isxUakrV6sXf8MmUakiz3QYbetZxCJm06yaX3YccMDeTQ8qltRMDoal8MKH/s640/P1150092.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="640" height="419" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiB-cfLCsgIhU18eO4Rs2VN25tXF4u7npswIeaq56TZGJikq29Tb_pv982dt-KZaJgfkLTrL4cdKdLtu9z43isxUakrV6sXf8MmUakiz3QYbetZxCJm06yaX3YccMDeTQ8qltRMDoal8MKH/w558-h419/P1150092.JPG" width="558" /></a></div><br /><p></p><p>Stamps used:- Floral clock</p><p> Harebell Butterfly</p><p> Words from Parsley Clock </p><p>25cm. Frame which I had in my stash, just the right size!</p><p>The background is done with Distress inks and spritzed. I love the unpredictability of the backgrounds you get with this technique.</p><p>Floral clock was then over stamped in black and several spare butterflies stamped onto card scraps and cut out.</p><p>When this was dry it was mounted onto a piece of black card with a thin border, </p><p>The other harebells from Harebell Butterfly were then over stamped across the bottom and lightly coloured. </p><p>The saying is very poignant to me recently and I feel it goes well with the soft blues.</p><p><br /></p><p> </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgR_LwvOc7SZhx8IfUcIpBDxZZPw75oUQgDlcw8rFi8-uGGrG5UeBSvGo8AMWHBACSb-aXaFY_WWwdtoL_UYWlK5NH4nyRhyphenhyphendB-bwD-_wxWftqd6my1jeKjd3yZl3Zd6N-JDMMM5Kp0eeHi/s640/P1150091.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="640" height="387" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgR_LwvOc7SZhx8IfUcIpBDxZZPw75oUQgDlcw8rFi8-uGGrG5UeBSvGo8AMWHBACSb-aXaFY_WWwdtoL_UYWlK5NH4nyRhyphenhyphendB-bwD-_wxWftqd6my1jeKjd3yZl3Zd6N-JDMMM5Kp0eeHi/w517-h387/P1150091.JPG" width="517" /></a><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Hope you have enjoyed my project and I shall be back with my final sample next week.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Stay safe everyone and happy crafting.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Carole </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><p></p>Carole C.http://www.blogger.com/profile/09891423782526371622noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8058302731928123134.post-92146251422933262882021-04-14T07:08:00.001+01:002021-04-14T07:10:35.487+01:00Chocolate Baroque GDT. sample 1 - 2021<p> </p><p><br /></p><p>Hello everyone .</p><p> I'm delighted to be doing a GDT. session again </p><p>I have revisited some older stamps as these are often neglected and its not until I start using them again that I realise how much I enjoyed them the last time I used them.</p><p>So many ideas buzz around and no time to do them!!! </p><p>As the weather has been gorgeous here for a little while , and the garden is bursting with life, My first sample is using Spring Awakening. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I coloured my backgrounds with different yellows, oranges and red, then spritzed it so the colours bled and left a speckled pattern.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The top section was stamped with black and clear embossed to give it more depth.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Some areas were then coloured with water colour pencils and highlighted with a white pen.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I then cut it to the required size and trimmed the other two sheets similarly.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
These were then over stamped with the various designs on the sheet with smokey grey Versafine. If you want it bolder then use black.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Once completed, they were laminated too. I used my old Cropodile to put the rings on and joined them all together with wire loops. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
You could tie them together with fine ribbon , which would look pretty too.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I didn't have any jump rings big enough , so I wrapped my wire around the handle of a paint brush, to make oval jump rings.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The back of the sheets were decorated too.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
You can write on this with the whiteboard pen and then rub it off easily when finished with the message.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Hope you have enjoyed my projects as much as I enjoy looking at what you are all making and happy crafting.</div>

<br />
<br />
Hello everyone.<br />
It is my slot as a guest designer again and today I have two projects for you using the Tranquility set of stamps. A lovely oriental style theme.<br />
<br />
<br />
The first one is a ribbon holder, which I have found useful . If you like the idea you could have a different one for each colourway. They would look pretty sitting on the shelf.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0ibrmoNF6VMP18Et2x6K3By1kvKMfBGX644yiSanyhPCdPyrAuOHdjzeamZXjBurVwmx0V7XP3VyTOoIofs5kf7dNLkPF7mAhsN_cEMz0yf7IGynTgx0hIlNDu4yVjDFrY-zyV8R6pK5w/s1600/P1140824.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="640" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0ibrmoNF6VMP18Et2x6K3By1kvKMfBGX644yiSanyhPCdPyrAuOHdjzeamZXjBurVwmx0V7XP3VyTOoIofs5kf7dNLkPF7mAhsN_cEMz0yf7IGynTgx0hIlNDu4yVjDFrY-zyV8R6pK5w/s640/P1140824.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5m7QlWTY_3RPsynS_e1bQcjSSp30TqKjHMbkwz0i1qkwKerTG_MjWFs-Uihk-wJ5w5eZV-8zb198QCHkcgI-aMGnzNo8iHQ-1OS5bQEzI_6-zUR-Dmt9zhye678tRLhXJkiADJ3o0dqWX/s1600/P1140783.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="640" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5m7QlWTY_3RPsynS_e1bQcjSSp30TqKjHMbkwz0i1qkwKerTG_MjWFs-Uihk-wJ5w5eZV-8zb198QCHkcgI-aMGnzNo8iHQ-1OS5bQEzI_6-zUR-Dmt9zhye678tRLhXJkiADJ3o0dqWX/s640/P1140783.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
I have used an empty cardboard container and cut a piece of card to wrap around it. This was then decorated with various stamps from the set coloured and stuck onto the cylinder.<br />
The top edge was decorated with silver foil over the strong , red double sided tape.<br />
Holes were then punched around the edge with my punch.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The heart would make a lovely accompaniment for the ribbon holder, if giving as a gift.</div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWt4bSjU5hsJXHDFcmgRFmrY1RevccFFO7f9aepOZ11FYBwecz1nxsJTYmvctJQ6aksz73R7CKxRH3WpTgG5qhCuGMfy5iKWrI_HIIDH3UtaQ3_sp5XqutDPKmnuUmtYlgPmhqgfZwJ5hQ/s1600/P1120142.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="480" data-original-width="640" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWt4bSjU5hsJXHDFcmgRFmrY1RevccFFO7f9aepOZ11FYBwecz1nxsJTYmvctJQ6aksz73R7CKxRH3WpTgG5qhCuGMfy5iKWrI_HIIDH3UtaQ3_sp5XqutDPKmnuUmtYlgPmhqgfZwJ5hQ/s400/P1120142.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
Products used: Tranquillity stamp set, 12cm. heart, black paint, Versamark inkpad, silver embossing powder. Beads and card to back.<br />
<br />
The heart was painted black and left to dry thoroughly. <br />
I swiped it over with an antistatic bag. Particularly important as I was using metallic powder and this has a tendency to pick up every finger print on the project!<br />
The images were then stamped and silver embossed. As my heart was wooden, I needed to be aware and hold it with a clip, I usually use a peg. for this, as the wood gets surprisingly hot.<br />
I then wiped the inkpad around the edge and embossed.<br />
The flowers were coloured with Mica powders, to add a slight shimmer.<br />
The heart was then mounted onto a background colour. Mine was card , but felt is good too.<br />
the beads were then stuck around the edge.<br />
<br />
This is a lovely gift for a friend if you can bear to part with it. Mine cheers me up every time I look at it.<br />
<br />
Hope you have enjoyed my project.<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
See you next time for something completely different.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Bye for now and thank you for visiting.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Happy crafting.</div>

Four fold card <br />
<br />
Chocolate Baroque , Chequered Flowers, meets Visual Image Alice in Wonderland stamps.<br />
<br />
These flowers immediately reminded me of a scene from Alice in Wonderland and I was delighted to find the Visual Image stamps on this theme. I made this card for my daughter and was really pleased with the finished result. the cat and caterpillar go so well with the flowers I think.<br />

Four fold cards<br />
<br />
<br />
Hello everyone . <br />
<br />
It is my turn again to show some samples as a guest designer. I always look forward to this and hope you like my three, very different projects. I have used stamps that were highlighted last year as it is very easy to put them away in your stash and forget about them.<br />
<br />
I have started off with a lovely four fold design. I really like this folded card as you can get an interesting finished project.<br />
<br />
I decided to do a men's card, using the Eccentric Edwardian gentleman set, Steampunk Travel and Punky Expressions. Very good standbys for a men's card.<br />

<br />
<br />
Make a master sheet for the background paper. Mine was made by just pressing Distress Inkpads onto the card , I usually use two colours, in this case Pumice and Wild Honey.<br />
<br />
Spritz the background with water and leave to dry. The ink will bleed slightly and blend with each other. <br />
The elements were stamped with Versafine black and one of the other colours.<br />
<br />
The gentleman was stamped onto the card, but the very top of his head was masked so the hat would sit properly. The hat was on a separate piece of card and cut out. <br />
Finally I used a piece of metal, stamped with Stazon and embossed it to create an embellishment on the front.<br />
<br />
<br />
Below are two other cards that I have done using this design. One was shown on Hochanda many months ago but I thought it was worth another viewing for those of you who may not have seen it.<br />
The other was a birthday card for a friend using blue as the background.<br />

<br />
It's lovely that we can see our families over social media and keep in contact, but it's not the same as face to face and being able to give a proper hug.! I really miss seeing my daughters who both live a distance away and can't wait until we are all reunited again.<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Hope you are all keeping well and safe and that this will be over soon.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Best wishes</div>

Very simply made with different coloured string. You can draw in your own personalities on the rabbits faces.<br />

Don't know whether they still do this Bunny kit now, but it was very cute. If you put a little box behind it , it makes a lovely pencil pot. Just realized I didn't colour the carrot for some reason. Hey Ho!!<br />
